Every year JMI University invites students from various courses to fill the form in the courses of their choice. The admission is purely based on the Entrance test conducted by Jamia Millia Islamia university for each course. In addition to test there will be an interview in some selected courses. Forms are to be filled and submitted online only. But as of now, M.Phil/PhD admission form is closed on the website.

Eligibility Criteria For Admission in PhD

All Research programs offered in JMI require the candidates to hold a Master’s Degree as the basic requirement.

The candidates who seek admission to an M.phil/PhD programs must have a Second class Master’s Degree Or an equivalent degree. In addition to it, you should have at least 55% aggregate marks in the subject in which the candidate wants to pursue his/her research or in an allied subject.

All candidates who seek admission to any of the JMI’s offered courses have to appear for an Entrance Test that is conducted by JMI. The entrance test is followed by an interview. Most importantly, syllabus along with the admit cards of the registered students are made available on the University’s website.

Documents Required At The Time Of Admission

All the selected candidates are required to bring the following documents in original. Apart from it, you have to submit a set of their self-attested copies to the office of the Dean, Faculty Of Natural sciences. Completion of admission formalities will entertain as per announced schedules.

1. Certificate of matriculation (Class X for verification of Date of Birth)
2. Marksheet and degree of graduation
3. Marksheet and degree of post-graduation
4. Cast certificate, if applicable
5. Character certificate
6. The undertaking of the intervening gap period, if any
7. Migration certificate
8. No objection certificate from the employer, if employed
