The engineering aspirants get into Jamia Millia Islamia through the admission procedure based solely on their respective jee main ranks.It started off in 2016 before which the university took separate entrance tests for Btech and Barch respectively.We are all jiggles and shrills on scrolling over the cutoff lists because of the weariness caused by the sudden pattern change in jee paper garnished with blotches of pain and debility caused by the very virus itself.
The unwanted corona virus brunt was the most sophisticated devil drive of all.It was as uncertain as the sudden change in the pattern of the jee paper implemented this year onwards.The compulsive use of masks becoming a life saver in this holocaust shared a congruency with the numerical based integer type question being introduced in the paper this year,exempted from the deadly negative marking.Overall,the paper this year justled between different reviews by different students which included defaming maths for its toughness as always, the subtle cake walk over chemistry and physics rolling over intermixed concepts of different chapters for a final blow.Showing up of 6lakhs students which was exactly half the number of students who appeared in previous years,was very obvious adhering to the friction caused by the spread of novel corona again.It also came a gas as a biproduct since students had to discontinue with their coaching and schools amidst peak preparation time.Balance had been maintained between students scoring a little more of a percentile still glancing over the cutoff lists with a little less of hopes.Percentile was a must increase among less number of students but there was also no denying over the fact that the cutoff of various colleges and universities was expected to go high because of the obvious reasons.The cutoff for general category in cs branch this year in jmi went down to 6k for it was around 8k in 2019.Also the very same trend follows for almost all the branches in jmi engineering.The two lists which are out by now clearly align themselves according to the points noted above.Lets hope it gets to a saturation pinnacle by the end of last lists and students in this already doomed sphere get the desired branches they want and the thought of dropping an year more becomes a fallacy.
