Total Intake
Jamia Millia Islamia announces its first hostel results between the end week of September and midweek of October for both Hall of residences (boys and girls). The intake capacity varies for both boys and girls.

Where To Pay?
Payment has to be made through Cash in Indian Bank Extension Counter in Indian Bank, First Floor (Near Gate No. 04) OR at Bank of India Counter in Ground floor, Jamia Millia Islamia.
NOTE: The Provost office of the three hostels will remain closed from October 05 – 08 and 11 – 13, 2019. So try to take admission as yearly as possible.

After the results are announced, students have to complete some formalities for hostel allotment. That is to say, documents which are listed below:
Documents required for verification
On the day of hostel allotment, students are requested to bring the below-mentioned documents with them.
- Marksheet of qualifying examination.
- Fee slip (which is proof of your admission in University).
- Copy of income certificate.
- Domicile certificate
- Medical certificate from Dr M.A. Ansari Health Centre (proforma for this will be provided to you from provost office).
- Other certificates viz NCC, PWD. If any
Fee Structure For Jamia Hostel 2019
Fees structured provided below may vary, so it will get confirmed when the result of respective Halls will be out.
- Hostel fee: At the time of allotment, students have to deposit an amount of ₹5300 in one instalment.
- Caution money: Every student has to deposit a sum of ₹2000/- towards Mess Caution Money (refundable) at the time of admission. Caution money along with hostel fee has to be deposited in the bank at the time of allotment.
- Mess fee: At the time of Allotment, students have to deposit ₹4700 (by cash) at the provost office. This will be the mess fee for two months.
Formalities to be fulfilled at the allotted hostel
After your allotment formalities are completed at provost office. Subsequently, Students have to fill two forms at allotted hostel.
- One form is for the need of your biodata at the allotted hostel.
- And the other is for your Hostel ID card.
Note:
Students who did not make it to the allotment list should keenly follow the website or provost notice board on a regular basis. When the hostel allotment is completed, Applications for the admission of hostel dormitories are invited.
The list will be based on the points which you have acquired in the previous interview. Students are requested to submit the application for the same. There are about 6 dormitories with each having a capacity of 12. Those who will be allotted dormitories will have to stay in it for a maximum of 6 months, but each student gets a room before that time. The fee structure for Dormitory is the same as that of Hostel room allotment.
